We study the evolution of genomes and gene regulation using fungal species as model systems, with a focus on transcription initiation mechanisms.
Our lab combines high-throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, and molecular biology to understand how transcription start sites are selected and how transcription initiation mechanisms evolve across fungal species.
